Hope a good weekend was had by all? Well after a couple huge wine shodowns, we’re ready to have you Wine Cats continue on your wine adventure. This Friday 4/5/19 from 6-8pm please joins us for a community wine tasting where you get to choose what wines get tasted.
How’s it work? If you’re by yourself buy a bottle that’s no less than $10, if you’re a couple buy a bottle that’s no less than $20, three people bottle is no less than $30 and so on.
Speaking of “On” here’s a couple of wines that are truly “On!”
We just got in the 2006 vintage of Lopez de Heredia Reserva Vina Bosconia. A blend of 80% Tempranillo with 15% Garnacha and 5% Graciano and Mazuelo. This wine matures in used American oak barrels for five years. Talk about tradition!! This is truly a fascinating wine, and was one of my go to wines when we were in Logrono, Spain. 94 Points Robert Parker.

We also received their flag ship, the 2006 vintage of Lopez de Heredia Reserva Vina Tondonia. A blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacho, 5% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo, which achieved 13% alcohol in 2006. It always matures in used American oak barriques for some six years.
Listen, Lopez de Heredia started this winery over 140 years ago and he was making wines long before that, and the Medoc French winemaker that taught Lopez de Heredia how to make wines had been making wines for even longer than that! I think you can say they know what they’re doing. 95 Points Robert Parker.
