A wine with a very limited production, only produced in excellent vintages.
Resalte Expresión comes from vineyards of more than 40 years old. These are all small plots of carefully cultivated bush vines with very low yields of great quality, a powerful bouquet and an exceptional concentration.
The wine is made in small tanks with frequent gravity overpumps throughout the maceration and fermentation processes, to extract all the potential from the grapes. Cold soak at 8ºC lasts for about 5 days, and fermentation and post-fermentative maceration add about 20 more days. The wine is then moved to new oak barrels for its malolactic fermentation, with frequent stirrings that impart unctuosity and integration and balance to the Reserva.
Resalte Expresión ages in 90% French, 10% American new oak from the best cooperages for 18 months. Periodical racking helps clean and oxygenate the wine for enhanced complexity and harmony.
