The Solorca estate consists of 72 hectares of vineyards surrounding the winery, all Tempranillo, which is an important factor contributing to the excellent quality of their wines. The vines are both young and old – the average age is approximately 30-40 years old. The vines are grown in goblet bush formation and also trained on wires, and are all hand picked by teams of grape-pickers at harvest time. The Crianza is made from 100% Tempranillo that has been aged for 30 months in oak casks: 20 months in used American oak, and 10 months in new French oak. The wine is well structured and silky smooth on the palate with flavors of red fruit, tobacco and cedar along with toast and spice. Enjoy with grilled red meats.
